When I first started planning the event, I asked Ang what theme she'd like-- she said Fall. So I gathered my best Pinterest ideas and went to town. Here's how it came out:
Our guests were met with a fun sign to welcome them in.
Next, they found refreshments around the kitchen and breakfast nook. Our menu was made up of fall themed snacks and cook-out entrees:
Burgers
Bratwursts
Honey & Nut Cocktail Wieners
Cheesy Potatoes

Sorry I don't have any pictures of the food-- everything was so tasty, it was eaten too fast!
But, I did manage to get pictures of our beverage displays.
I especially loved the Ale Yeah sign. It worked well to tie in our second theme... Beer!
I thought it'd be more fun if we incorporated a craft beer station.
So, we set the stage with these fun invites from Greylein Design & Paperie.

A shower isn't complete without games. And while we didn't play any (that whole low-key thing), I included a fun station where each guest could leave words of wisdom heckle the parents.
Everyone seemed to have a pretty good time.
A fall baby-que was the perfect shower for our group. A mellow gathering where everyone drank beer, watched football, and hung-out for as long or little as they liked.
Would a baby-que work well for your family and friends?
Would you add any other activities or games?
